A September trip to Uganda with the Global Emergency Care Collaborative to produce a fundraising video introduced us to the beautiful and remote community of Nyakibale. There is nothing particularly easy about filming there, which made this project all the more appealing. All camera, audio, and editing equipment was limited to two small backpacks, electricity is intermittent, and the cultural relationship with time and schedule is certainly different than ours. But all challenges proved surmountable. We met some dynamic and resourceful individuals working hard to improve access to emergency care in their community and brought their stories home with us to share.
