In June, we were honored to find out that Treeverse won a Pacific Northwest Regional Emmy Award. Entered by Oregon Field Guide videographer and Treeverse lead cameraman Michael Bendixen, Treeverse received the award in the Photography and Craft category and represented the outstanding efforts of the entire production crew. The Oregon Field Guide Episode on the making of Treeverse, produced by Jule Gilfillan, had won an Emmy Award the previous year. Treeverse is a documentary produced by Uncage the Soul in 2011 on Brian French’s and Will Koomjian’s quest to traverse one kilometer of oak canopy over five days, without touching the ground.
